Bangabandhu Sheikh
Mujibur Rahman Agricultural University (BSMRAU) observed the National
Independence day with due respects and solemnity and festive mode at the
University campus. To mark the day, elaborated programs including hoisting the
national flag and march past at dawn, offering floral wreath at the
University’s Shahid Minar and Mural of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman,
discussion meeting, sports & children’s art competition and special prayer
at the University’s central mosque.

Vice-Chancellor
Prof. Dr. Md. Abdul Mannan Akanda placed wreath at the Shahid Minar and Mural
of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. Besides, students, faculty members,
officers, employees association and University’s school placed wreath at the
Shahid Minar.
Vice-Chancellor of the University Prof. Dr. Akanda delivered his
speech as a chief guest at the discussion, while Treasurer Prof. Dr. Giashuddin
Miah as a special guest, Director Students Welfare Prof. Dr. Jalal Uddin Ahmed,
Registrar Md. Abul Kalam Azad & Proctor, Provosts, Faculty members,
students, officers and employees were presents at that time.

The 92nd birth
anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the
National Children’s Day(17th March) was observed at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur
Rahman Agricultural University with due respect and festive mood. On this
occasion an elaborated programs have been chalked out which were include:
Ananda rally, placing floral wreath, Children’s’ hand writing & Essay
writing competition and documentary film show.

On behalf of the University the
Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Abdul Mannan Akanda placed floral wreath at
the Bangabandhu’s Mural first. Then Teachers, Officers and Employees association
also placed floral wreath at the Bangabandhu’s Mural.
Director Students
Welfare, Proctor, Provosts, Registrar, other faculty members, Officers,
Employees were present at that time.
The program also
concluded by offering special Doa Mahfil after Zohr prayer at the University
central Mosque.
Pahela Baishakh, the first day of the Bangla New Year 1419 was
celebrated at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Agricultural University
(BSMRAU) campus on Saturday amid traditional festivity and fanfare. To
mark the day the University chalked out an elaborate program to welcome
the Pahela Baishakh.
The day started with the tune of classic Bangla
song “Esho Hey Baishakh Esho Esho” sung by the students, teachers,
officers and employees of this University. A colorful rally bought out
at the University campus. Vice-Chancellor of the University Prof. Dr.
Md. Abdul Mannan Akanda led the rally as Chief Guest. The other events
were: cultural program and drama.
